First identify important categories
Group notifications by purpose: protocols, documents, doctor access, family events, product news and security. For events requiring action, choose a channel you check regularly. Informational updates are often more convenient in a digest.
Turning off all optional messages reduces noise but may cause you to miss a reminder. Keep at least one suitable channel for active protocols and access that is about to expire.
How to choose channels
Email suits detailed messages and a record of communication; push notifications suit brief, timely reminders; in-account notifications provide a central event list. Channel availability depends on verified contact details and your device.
Do not send notifications to an address or device that others can access if they could reveal sensitive context.
Quiet hours and digests
Enable quiet hours and set their start and end in your current time zone. Ordinary notifications will be delayed, while essential security messages remain enabled. Choose a daily digest time when you can realistically review accumulated events.
Check the schedule after travelling or changing time zones. If quiet hours cross midnight, the system should treat them as one continuous overnight interval.
How to check that settings work
Save your changes and reopen the section: the selected values should still be there. Check email verification and push notification permissions on your device. If messages do not arrive, check your in-account notification centre and device settings without repeating protocol actions.
