Use the answer to prepare questions and your next step; a medical professional determines diagnosis and treatment.
What makes a useful question
A useful request has four elements: goal, period, available data and desired output. For example: ‘Summarise changes in my ferritin over the last six months, include dates and sources, and help me prepare questions for my physician.’ This sets a verifiable task without asking AI to diagnose you.
If your question concerns how you feel, describe the symptom neutrally: when it began, how it changed, what has been measured and whether you have seen a doctor. Do not omit important limitations or present a suspected diagnosis as an established fact.
Particularly useful requests
You can ask BIOS AI to build a timeline, compare values while accounting for units, find a missing document, explain a medical term in plain language or prepare questions for a consultation. You can also ask it to show which records support each point in its answer.
Break a complex topic into stages: first ask for the available facts, then for gaps, then for options for a safe next step. This reduces the risk of mixing documented data with interpretation.
How to check an answer
Look at dates, sources and qualifications. If an answer cites a measurement, open the original document and check the value, units and reference range. If BIOS says the information is insufficient, that is not a malfunction: a safe answer must preserve uncertainty.
Clarify contradictions in the chat: ‘Show which two records disagree’ or ‘Do not draw a medical conclusion; list only confirmed facts.’ Discuss important conclusions with a doctor.
When not to use the chat
AI chat is not for emergencies. Severe pain, difficulty breathing, impaired consciousness, signs of stroke, a severe allergic reaction or another acute deterioration require emergency medical services. Do not delay care to upload documents or wait for an answer.
